Your brand is not...
I’ve often heard firms saying they are going to ‘re-brand’ themselves, when in fact they’re simply coming up with a new logo. Let’s talk about some things that your brand is NOT.
Your logo is a visual image, intended to represent the company. Like your company name, it’s the thing that is (ideally) remembered with ‘positive predisposition.’ That’s marketing-speak for, ‘they like you.’ But the mental associations, good and bad, that are triggered by a logo are the same ones your customers and the marketplace have learned to connect with your company name.
